Introducing our new head of engineering

After nearly a year’s search, we're thrilled to welcome Darrik Moberg as our new full-time head engineer at Foster Commerce!
Darrik is an accomplished full-stack developer who is also an accessibility specialist and advocate. A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in computational biology, Darrik brings strong leadership skills and champions best practices. Darrik resides in Olympia, Washington, with their spouse and two kids.
Before coming to Foster Commerce, Darrik worked on the Developer Experience team at Nacelle to improve how merchant developers interacted with Nacelle's GraphQL API.
In addition to front-end packages, example repos, and back-end services, Darrik helped other internal teams to make the API better and easier to use.

Before Nacelle, Darrik worked at the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, maintaining an internal agency app. They worked to re-architect the app to provide a better user experience and improve flexibility and performance.
Previously, Darrik also contracted with Foster Commerce as part of the Maxon development team and assisted with migrating Maxon’s website to a static build.
Darrik will replace Foster Commerce’s interim Head of Engineering, Michael Van Dorth.

Having Darrik lead the developers at Foster Commerce will mean significant advantages for clients.
Beyond contributing their deep knowledge of ecommerce technology and development, Darrik will oversee and strengthen dev ops, standardize client onboarding, and write content for the Foster Commerce blog.
